We are more than an organization; we are a family of faith-driven dreamers, doers, and believers united by compassion and a shared vision to bring light where there is darkness, hope where there is despair, and dignity where it has been lost.
Our mission begins with the children the seeds of the future. We believe every child deserves the opportunity to learn, to dream without limits, and to know that their life matters. Through access to quality education, school supplies, mentorship, and safe learning environments, we help children break free from the cycle of poverty. We nurture their potential, build their confidence, and open doors to a world where their dreams can take flight. Each lesson learned and every goal achieved becomes a steppingstone toward a brighter tomorrow, not just for one child, but for generations to come.
We also hold a deep reverence for the elderly the pillars of wisdom, faith, and perseverance in our communities. Too often, they are forgotten, left to struggle in silence. At Showers of Hope, we stand beside them with compassion and respect. We provide essentials such as food, clothing, and medical assistance, but just as importantly, we offer presence, friendship, and love. We remind them that their stories matter, their wisdom is treasured, and their lives continue to inspire.
Our hearts also beat for women the silent heroes who hold families and communities together. We believe in their strength, their brilliance, and their God-given potential to lead. Through skills training, financial literacy programs, and empowerment initiatives, we help women rise above adversity, create sustainable livelihoods, and walk boldly into their purpose. When women thrive, families flourish, and communities are transformed.

Our Mission: Bringing Hope to the Forgotten
At Showers of Hope, our mission flows from a deep well of compassion, faith, and love for humanity. We exist to reach those who have been overlooked, abandoned, and silenced by life’s hardships the ones often unseen and unheard. Our calling is to restore dignity where it has been stripped away, to rekindle hope where despair has taken root, and to open doors of opportunity where all seemed lost.
We pour our hearts and hands into caring for street children, orphans, widows, the elderly, and people living with disabilities. Behind every face is a story, stories of pain, rejection, and survival. Yet we believe no story ends in brokenness. With love, care, and unwavering support, every life can be renewed, every soul restored, and every heart reminded that it still matters.
Through education, shelter, medical care, and emotional support, we help children rediscover the beauty of their dreams. We empower widows to rebuild their lives with courage and purpose. We bring comfort and companionship to the elderly who have no one left to care for them, ensuring they live their days with dignity and peace. We walk beside people with disabilities, not as caretakers but as equals reminding them that their worth is not defined by limitation but by strength, resilience, and divine purpose.

Hope for Street and Orphaned Children
We provide safe shelter, quality education, and nurturing care giving children not just a place to sleep, but a place to belong, to heal, and to dream again.
Empowerment for Widows
We offer skills training, emotional counseling, and spiritual encouragement to help widows rebuild their confidence, find independence, and rediscover their purpose in life.
Care for the Elderly
We bring love, companionship, and dignity to the elderly who are often forgotten. Through visits, care packages, and ongoing support, we remind them that they are seen, valued, and deeply loved.
Inclusion for People with Disabilities
We create spaces of acceptance and opportunity, helping people with disabilities live with confidence, joy, and the assurance that they are a vital part of this beautiful world.

Meet The Founders
Showers of Hope was born from a story of hardship, resilience, and compassion. Its founders, Maxwell and Faith Mukisa, know firsthand the pain of struggle and the life-changing power of hope.
At just thirteen years old, Maxwell Mukisa made a decision that changed the course of his life forever. Rejected by his family and forced to leave his home in Uganda, he found himself alone on the streets of Kampala with nothing but determination and hope to carry him forward. Through hunger, rejection, and uncertainty, Maxwell developed a deep understanding of human suffering and the silent struggles of the forgotten and overlooked. Rather than allowing pain to define him, he allowed it to shape him into someone determined to bring hope to others.
Faith Mukisa’s journey is also one of transformation, strength, and purpose. Having overcome seasons of uncertainty and hardship, she developed a deep passion for helping others discover healing, confidence, and renewed purpose in life. With a heart full of compassion and service, Faith stands alongside Maxwell as a pillar of encouragement and hope to many.
In 2015, Maxwell began helping vulnerable individuals and families with the little he had feeding the hungry, clothing children, and supporting those in desperate need. What started as one person’s act of kindness soon grew into something far greater. In 2024, Showers of Hope was officially established, founded on one simple belief: compassion has the power to change lives.
Today, Showers of Hope supports vulnerable children, widows, elderly and struggling families through food assistance, clothing, education, outreach, and community support. Every effort is rooted in restoring dignity, uplifting communities, and reminding people that they are seen, valued, and never forgotten.
Now based in the United States with their family, Maxwell and Faith continue to dedicate their lives to turning pain into purpose and bringing hope to communities near and far. Their story is a reminder that even the hardest beginnings can lead to extraordinary impact.
